I'm with Canada. Deja Vu definitely feels like it's happening to me only during the stretch of this lifetime but my past life memories feel more distant and faded.

To me it isn't that past life memories feel faded; its that deja vu has a specific feeling of "I've done this before" whereas for me a past life memory has a strangely detached recognition. It stands out from other dreams of thoughts; it has a different recognition, one that I actually believe as opposed to deja-vu, which I don't (I don't believe what I'm feeling at those moments has actually necessarily been felt before, just a strange feeling).

So when you have past life memories what are they typically about? Is there anything specific that's a common theme in them?

Not too many common themes that I'm aware of; never looked at them closely in that manner.
I have snippets of memory, such as walking through a field in late afternoon; its a wheat field, and the earth is reddish in tone. Trees are nearby, its warm.
Others include a situation in which I was given to a church because I was somehow seen as special; I was pretty much the same I am now with energy but others saw it similar to witchcraft, but holy; i was basically a slave as breeding stock for what they thought were holy children.
there are others, nothing too important, just a brief moment in time such as going through personal items stored away in a closet in japan, sometime in somewhat ancient japan; the dust, the floor, the box.

Lol wut, wordfilter?
I don't have any particular reason for believing in reincarnation and past lives. It's just always felt sort of right.

Wow. Ain't that a bitch when ya can't seem to remember everything from yer past lives? It'd be sw33t to remember them all.
Man, I sure as hell don't want to lose everything when it's my time to reincarnate. I'd be super PISSED to lose them all and got to work hard to get them back. I've worked so hard, man.

What would be the point in remembering everything? They are, after all, PAST lives and in my own case don't have much relevance to my time here and now, except to explain a few personality traits.

The past often holds clues, answers, knowledge, even karma lessons. I'd like to think of such things as reminders, ya know?
